Unicef Smurf
In honor of their 50th anniversary in 2008, the Smurfs began a "Happy Smurfday Euro Tour" in connection with UNICEF.
This tour visited 15 European countries and put out thousands of white smurfs all over the city. The recipients could decorate and submit them to a competition.
The results of this contest were auctioned off and raised a total amount of 124,700 euros for benefit of UNICEF.
